From July 8, 2017, Mercer Island parade and fair!!

There were a number of pretty ladies as cheerleaders or drill team members at the Mercer Island parade and fair, in July 2017.  Here are some of the nicer photos!

I had these photos and a dozen more up at greenwalking.net . . . for several months.  Somehow, at some point, someone from Mercer Island noticed, and a lot of people complained in various ways, although, I think these photos are showing the young ladies being pretty or fun.  Of course, at greenlakewalking, I also included some photos of young ladies who are not cheerleaders.  I am not sure which ones, in particular, if any, caused concern. read more

Trivial and fun things that helped the world

There is a book out called Wonderland by Steven Johnson.  He argues that many of society’s great achievements and advantages began as jokes, games and trivial things.

Among them would be the computer which has a very original form in the Analytic Engine which apparently was inspired by dancing dolls. read more
