Some of you may wonder if you should gain or lose weight or what is a nice shape.
I am a guy and I take photographs when I am out in public and those that are pretty, beautiful or interesting, I place on my blog at greenlakewalking.net. Recently I saw some of the ads at yandy.com for swimwear. In one of the ads, the woman had a reasonable and attractive waist to hips ratio and in another one the model was obviously overly thin.
So, if you permit, lets talk about having a nice waist to hips ratio and what it is. Here are several photos that I personally took at Greenlake or at Fremont at the Fremont Fair. I or you can download “jruler” which enables me or you to measure parts of an image on one’s computer screen. We can measure the thinnest part of the woman’s bod and compare that measurement in pixels to the width where her bikini string is at its far edges.
What we find is that a common and attractive waist to hips percent is between 75 and 80%. Here are some examples. Note that some of these examples include two contestants in a recent local bikini competition.
In each of these five photos, the waist to hips % is between 75 and 80%.
Now, lets add several models photos who are modelling swimwear at yandy.com.
Note that even several of the attractive bikini models have a waist to hips % at slightly over 75. The bikini model with waist to hips at less than 70% may be a bit thin in other parts of her body.
Note that a guy like me has a waist to hips at 85% approximately. Also, when you are younger, your waist to hips, for many people, is more flat and there is less distinction.
